EET 2.0 in practice
EET 2.0 for shops and retail stores
Customers in a physical shop usually pay during the purchase. Under the current EET 2.0 proposal, in-person payments such as cash, card or a QR payment made at the till are intended to be recorded.
The POS system should send the data automatically. A shop with a suitable existing register does not automatically need new hardware; software support for EET 2.0 will be decisive.
Under the current proposal, normal operation and real sales reporting should start on 1 January 2027, with full enforcement from 1 February 2027. Stores with an online shop must distinguish remote payment from payment on personal collection.
