EET 2.0 in practice
EET 2.0 for restaurants, cafés, bars and bistros
Hospitality venues are typical places where customers pay in person. Under the current EET 2.0 proposal, not only cash but also card and QR payments made directly at the venue may therefore be recorded.
The POS system should handle reporting automatically as part of an ordinary sale. An existing restaurant does not automatically need new hardware; the key question is whether its software will support EET 2.0.
Under the current proposal, normal operation and recording of real sales should start on 1 January 2027; the system should move into full enforcement on 1 February 2027. EET itself should not require a special printed EET receipt.
