Hospitality venues are typical places where customers pay in person. Business income received in cash and contact card or QR payments made directly at the venue are recorded; cash is recorded even without personal contact.
The POS system should handle reporting automatically as part of an ordinary sale. An existing restaurant does not automatically need new hardware; the key question is whether its software will support EET 2.0.
Regular operation and standard recording of actual sales start on 1 January 2027. January is also a pilot period. The sales-recording law does not require an EET receipt to be issued or printed, although another law may require a document.
